Swoop

Swoop

The buttresses and balconies of "20 Prince Arthur". In the post-war building boom of the 1950s and 1960s, architects and engineers developed new ways to pour and form concrete for decorative effect. The sweeping lines of this apartment building are one result.

Hello Gary, You know, I think I like this photo a lot more than I do the balcony shot from your earlier post... This one really has a nice swoop to it, rather than so angular -- but that's just the way I see it... Great shot...

We had a balcony when we lived in Germany.
I like these because they are a pretty shade of blue. Mine was an ugly brown color.

Donald: I feel the same way about the building itself; I like it better than the angular one. It's "just an apartment building", but someone put some real thought into making it a place where people would want to live.

Heather: Plenty of ugly brown apartments here, too. And dull grey ones.

Trust me Heather, you don't want your kids living in that building. Even with the greenery.

It's not the housing per se, it's the tenants and their addictions.
