at Weston Beach



In my teens I idolized Edward Weston, who did a lot of photography in the '30's and '40's with his 8X10 view camera at Point Lobos, just south of Carmel...   Weston died in the '50's, and sometime between the '70's and '90's Weston Beach was officially named in his honor...   Weston loved the convoluted patterns and shapes of the local sandstone, and so do I...   I shot these a few months ago...
