Spinning a Tale

We spent this afternoon at the Black Creek Pioneer Village. The "inhabitants" are historical interpreters who describe life in Upper Canada in the 19th century.

For the geeks, I took this in natural light, 1/50 sec @ f/2.8, ISO 400, handheld.

I love those! How I'd like to still wake up before the sun and go milk the chicken, and make deep plough with my hands, and spinning those cute wheels with the wool of my donkey, and eating potatoes all day, and...

:O)

Gary, you are a cool geek! Very wonderful pic! And no jokes, I still have the spinning wheel from my great grand mother! :O)

But what was the focal length?
Nice shot
In the old days I could hand hold down to 1/4 with a 400mm but alas no more.
I've really got to be up around 1/125th at best now on a 50mm, although I did by some miracle pull off an ISO 200 f/16 1/60th 50mm on a the shot of the flowers I took and posted earlier today.

Paul: 60mm. The battery grip adds some inertia to the camera, which helps keep it steady.

Nice place to visit. Wouldn't want to live there.
