Ahhh yes. There's nothing more romantic than the sight of two cicadas doing the wild thing. Seriously though, this was a common sight a couple of years ago on the East Coast. They mated like crazy, died quickly, and their young made their way underground and won't surface for another decade-and-a-half. The coloring here was a happy accident brought on by a lack of color in my printer's ink cartridge.
