ha ha! You got it judith. Actually his name is Gammera, named after the Korean take on giant city stomping monsters (who was a giant turtle btw). And Clo, I too originally thought gam was a gal until I saw him getting a little too friendly with the water filter one day. Uh oh--too much information? Gam says HI merlinprincesse!

LOL! Well, I said "she" because in french, turtle is feminine: we say "une tortue", so... No offense Gam! :O)

So now, I know Gammera is a little pervert, but it doesn't say how much little he is... 1, 3, 6 inches?

Oh, I'm sorry, the shell's about five inches long by four inches wide. Gam's estimated to be about six or seven years old. Eastern painted turtles have about a fifteen to thirty year lifespan. seven to eight inches is the average length though there are some wild ones nearby my place that have gotten to enormous lengths--twelve to fourteen inch shell lengths.
