It might have flown, heather, but remember this image. I think this is the same creature, and yet i don't think it is winged.
The really creepy thing is that they were there for days and then suddenly disappeared. I do hope that when they disappeared they did not do so by entering the abode...

I had to look on flickr because I don't see your pics on Web-Pix with my pc... (I know, a problem I will find the cause some day...) So I looked, and looked again, and looked at the other one you put... I don't know what it is, but now it's itchy on every part of my body...
