This is brilliant for reasons that i cannot quite articulate. With the double entendre there is a sort of exposure..hm. an exposure of the darker [read: human] undercoating of the traditional masks worn particularly in the 1950's. This image, in a narrow way, acts for me, somewhat like 'american beauty'.
