Heather had emailed me to see if I could go to the "Selfportaitr" exhibit sponsored by Flickr.com at the Pace?MacGill Gallery in Manhattan. Being that it closes tomorrow, I figured that there was no time like RIGHT NOW.

After seeing a Marylin Monroe photo exhibit at the Staley*Wise Gallery all the way down in SOHO (Thanks, Calvin, for the link from your site.), I made my way to Midtown to the corner you see above.

Here the front entrance to the building. The gallery is on the 9th floor. Even after pleading and fist-waving, this "gentleman" would not get out of my shot. I told him he would be on the internet w/some nasty words to go w/his mug; he said he didn't mind.

Here is the lovely Art-Deco lobby & elevator. The building security guard held people back while I took the picture. He was very nice.

Here is where my journey ends. I got off at the 9th floor and took this picture of the introduction to the exhibit. I found Heather's photo, "These Lips of Mine," on one of the Macs, and then an overly zealous young woman prevented me from taking a wide-angle shot of the computer w/Heather's picture. I showed her the e-mail Heather sent, but she would NOT be deterred. Sorry. :(
