Yes, i'm renting this room in Chinatown, downtown Toronto. I would much prefer to live here, just outside the bubble surrounding the very very large University of Toronto campus, than to live in a shiny sterile room within it. This is indeed home for now..

Love it. So calming, and so evocative of things unseen.

BTW, Chinatown isn't far from the wealth of photographic opportunities in Kensington Market.

Gary and i have never met, though he certainly has been snapping shots on the very streets i walk about.

I live at Bathurst and Dundas, Gary. So i am perhaps 3 minutes walk from kensington. Man is that area beautiful. a dozen cultures witnessed in a few blocks. I will be walking through it several times per week as i make my way to and from school. I feel lucky to have the chance to be exposed to all of this. Thank you, Gary. Things unseen indeed. There were a few versions of this. This was the least explicit of them.

gracias, Ratz.

Sequel, the paper upon the desk was a gift from a girl. note the balancing of the candle with the lock. Worlds, thresholds unto them indeed.

I took time with the composition, heather. I would have loved it were you there to watch. humbled, madam.

Thank you for noticing, jozee. truly.

danke herr lumix. This was one of the few cases in which i never even tried B&w. Infact, it is virtually unphotoshopped aside from slight leveling.
