I love cheese! :O) In fact, I think cheese is my favorite food!

But I'm a little suspicious about american cheese, and this one looks really... suspect. What is it? :O/

It looks like port wine cheese to me.

Though it also reminds me of the yummy coconut bacon candy I had when I was a kid.

do tell, Mighty Bob.

Something in the title reminds me of a Monty Python sketch.

I'm with you Clo. Coconut bacon candy? ¡O, los americanos!

Oh and I've had some really good port wine cheeses in Niagara-On-The-Lake, Ontario, Canada. And if I recall correctly, one of the layers was made of chevre (sp?) from Québec.

So it's not just for Americans ;-)

i will guess that she was [though perhaps unaware of this] referencing 'Oliver!' no? do i win a prize anyway?

Oh! That's too much for me! Gary, port wine cheese made with chèvre from Québec must be interresting... though...

Well, I'm not going to judge the taste of Americans or even of Canadians from Ontario... "Les goûts ne se discutent pas!" is a phrase I do respect.

In fact, I love all those strange recipes because it makes great memories to tell, for example, this, I saw once in Boston, at the Faneuil Market, in a display: a piece of celery, with peanut butter inside, and in the peanut butter, there was some Smarties put in... yeeeech!
:O)
I love Americans...

With smarties- no.

It's a chunk of 3-layer cheese ball. Leftovers from a church activity. I never saw the original packaging, so I don't know what kind of cheese it is. But it's delicious on crackers!
and that coconut watermelon stuff looks yummy, too...

(good ear, glorious ear, chrisso...)
