Hi Josie and Heather, Yeah, I like this one a lot more myself... I didn't even bother Photoshopping it until today... I don't know exactly why, but I tend to almost never shoot vertical shots -- I guess I just see things more horizontally -- but recently I have been forcing myself to turn the camera 90 degrees when the subject really calls for it... So, anyway, Josie -- I guess I don't know what you mean by a "full frame" photo... Don't know if everybody out here fools around with Photoshop, but this image was very weak and gray, so I had to boost the contrast and brightness quite a bit... Of course, first I had to select the highlights (the reflections) with the "magic wand", then feather the edges of the selection (2px), invert the selection, and then boost the contrast and brightness... That prevented the reflections from getting "blown out" when I boosted the contrast... Next time I'm over in the Mission District during normal hours (not 7AM on a Sunday) I should drop into that frame shop and "shoot the bull" with the owner... I'm not sure if this beautifully framed print was something a customer was having framed, or if he had it up for sale... Looked like he had a lot of other interesting things in his/her small shop...
