You heard about the colour swap? No photoshop in here. Fun and easy! Try it.... :) The coolest result is when you change the flesh colour for white! Here are some I have taken!
very cool. and different from photoshopping post-shot, because you get to see the effect live--this means having the effects actually inform how we frame and set up the picture. good idea, mp! i particularly love the 2nd shot and the last.
The big little book is the manual... eeeehrrr... I found it well explained in French... hhehhe... Well ok....It's too long to explain...waaaaaa! But let moi try... First, you open your camera (I'm sooo funny)... 2-Select the icon that looks like a tube of paint, on the mode dial thing on the top of the camera...(hoping it's at the same place on the S3...) 3-push on the "function button". Functions will appear on the screen. Go to the small "paint tube" .... At the bottom of the screen, you will see many small paint tubes. Choose the one with an s at the end.... It will be written color swap on the screen. 4-Push on the "set" button you are in the color swaping mode where you chose the color to swap and the one you want on your final pic. 5-To select those colours, you have to use the big button with arrows. You select the colour you want to change by pointing at it with the little square in the center of the screen then by pushing on the LEFT arrow (on the big button with arrows). Then you choose the second colour you want to replace the first colour by pointing it and putting it the small square and pushing on the RIGHT arrow.... On the screen, you are going to see the before/after image.... If you like the "after", just take a pic.... Ok I'm not sure I am clear, and I have the S2 so may not have the same buttons as you.... :)

@ Steve: Read the big little book... :))))
Mp, what's the big little book? The manual that came with my cam is such a crappy translation I find it very difficult to understand.
I know there's better info online for the SIS' have to track it down again.

*sigh* poor Calvin. Interesting effect; not to belittle the Canon's functions, but isn't it the same of just changing the white balance to flesh?
