I love it!!! So much character a new house would NOT have! I would choose a "diamond in the rough" any day over a NEW contruction. CONGRATS ...

We close on our new place next tuesday.
It's not an old gem like your, it's a new gem (built in 2000) that we're quite happy to make our own as it suits our needs and will provide me with darkroom & studio space (in the noth facing daylight basement) and her with the basics of living all on the main floor.
No more split level living for these two trailing boomers.

Houses can be buildings, or the can be homes, from the looks of the picture your house has been a home and is ready to be one again.

Medicine Hat, eh? I only know that place from the song: "Red Deer, Terrace and Medicine Hat, heading back to Saskatoon."

Guess Who sang it.
