Pacific Grove - my old hometown
Yesterday I took a little trip down to my old hometown, Pacific Grove, California... I hadn't taken any photos in that spot since I was a teenager -- some 40 years ago... Things haven't changed much...

Nice to know some things don't. Lucy you to have grown up on the ocean! One of my favorite sounds ever!

Yep, I sure WAS lucky, when I was a kid, to live so close to the ocean and Monterey Bay... These days I live in a county that calls itself "Marin" (Spanish for "Marine"), but getting to the ocean is a tricky drive -- way over the hill -- whereas, when I was a kid the ocean was just down the street, and the bay was down another street...
It was (it usually is) pretty foggy and gray in Monterey, but I had great fun walking all over the old part of Monterey -- spooking around the various historical adobe buildings... All very nostalgic...

Pacific Ocean is not pacific...Hhehhe. But what a nice place to rest! I'm more an ocean girl than a mountain one. I love the sea and you are lucky to live near that place! :)
