Having some sort of hive collapse here. Are you seeing many bees in Toronto this year?
Lots. Both bumblebees and honeybees.I've read that the hive collapse affects mostly itinerant beekeepers, who take the hives from orchard to orchard. Apparently, bees don't like to move.Of course, competition from commercial apiaries means less food for "wild" bees, so that's another trend contributing to the effect.
