Ah, this wonderful photo really takes me back to the early '70's when my draft-board and the United States military decided they needed me behind a typewriter out in the sugar-beet fields at Giebelstadt, Germany, not far from Wurzburg... I don't have too many fond memories of the Army, but I do remember many fine experiences walking amidst scenery similar to the photo... We would walk from town to town and from gesthaus to gesthaus, sampling the local brews... Thanks for the memories...
Makes me think of my lasr holyday in Germany.
