You know, I guess Legos came along a little bit after my childhood... I can remember Lincoln Logs, but I guess in the early '50's (I was born in 1947) plastics hadn't completely taken over in the toy world...

Yes-plastic was considered inferior and wood superior in those days. These days we have proponents of both.

This se'ts actaually Duplo which is Lego at the toddler level. Much faster to build with. We could whip those fins right on there!
