whaler's cabin, Point Lobos



Fortunately, the days of fishing for whales is just a note in the history of Point Lobos...   This pine and redwood shack was built by Chineese fishermen in the 1850's, and now serves as an interesting museum of whaling history...

nice pictures. very interesting the links thanks. They still kill whales in Norway.
Slept once in a very old fishermen cabin in Norway (Henningsvear). Almost all the families there are hunting whales for centuries.
I have bin on whalesafari in the
Nordic sea there. Saw some Potfish, they are so beautifull when the are singing....
I hope for peacefull times for those lovely creatures.
