You know, way back in the early '70's the US Army decided they needed to put me behind a typewriter at one of Hitler's old secret airbases at Giebelstadt, near Wurzburg... The entire airbase had been built using underground structures and a whole maze of tunnels that we GI's were forbidden from exploring...
It was rumored that they camoflaged the runway by covering it with green canvas painted with pictures of sheep grazing... Late in the war, reconisance photos revealed that those sheep never moved -- and the secrecy of the airbase was foiled... --Don't know why I had to tell you all of that, but there you go...

This picture was taken in the Czech republic they built a huge bunker in 1938.It took Hitler a few hours to beat them..

aphotoday the Air Force had me at an army base (former air field) west of Frankfurt. Our HQ on the Rhine was haunted and had tunnels that ran all the way to Wiesbaden.
