Love this shot! Back in the early '70's Uncle Sam decided the US Army needed me, but they sent me to Germany insted of Vietnam -- what luck... I spent a year and a half near Wurzburg (the old airbase at Giebelstadt)... Except for the army bit, I had a ball... We would go from town to town sampling the local brews... The food was fabulous and inexpensive... What memories... Thanks again for the photo...
I'll echo what aphotoaday said, but my time was east of Frankfurt and it was Air Force at the end of the 70's stationed on a U.S. Army Air Field. Good times, Great people.
