In our state capitol of Sacramento, some of the statues haven't been delivering on their promises... Governor S. could really make a significant change helping farmworkers by signing Senate Bill 180...

Yep, now that's a story I could have dug deeper into... I think I know about the plight of the farmworkers, but this would have been the perfect opportunity to develop some photojournalistic skills...
Nope, I was a heck of a good paperboy, and won a few newspaper photography contests when I was a kid, but none of that freelance stuff... I have a friend who has been struggling for the past fifteen years to get established in photojournalism -- and he is finally doing pretty good now, but his wife had to support him for years...
--And I'm such a shy person, that that is probably the main reason I haven't gone down this path -- but it certainly would be fun... --How about you, CSB, have you done any newspaper freelancing ?
