Well, Henri, for a short trip it looks like you covered a lot of territory.
Was fun looking at that map -- and there it is, Wurzburg, a place the United States military decided to send me for a year and a half. (I was drafted back in 1969 and could have just as easily got sent to Vietnam, but I lucked out)
Actually, I was stationed at Giebelstadt Air Base, about 20km from Wurzburg. During WW2 this air base was top-secret and well hidden with most of the operations underground in a complex series of tunnels and underground buildings. To disguise the runway they covered it with canvas -- complete with sheep painted on it. Aerial photography finally showed that those sheep never moved -- and the secret air base was a secret no more...
wow thanx for the info :-)
