i find that before i capture the sun or the sky or a tree or a field or a flower, the compulsion to do so is physically manifested in the moment by my reaching out with my hand. this is usually accompanied by something audible, e.g. 'oh my god look at that'. indeed my hands are always reaching out and scraping at the sky trying to grasp what sits so beautifully before me. the best i can do, however, is push the button and capture. the fingerscrapes are sometimes captured in these shots...
