Handheld I'm guessing from the grain.
Nice

I think this is the damned bell that wakes me every morning at six am. not sure what the building is. near a 250 yr. old church, though.

handheld. sort of. i used a concrete planter about a meter up and tilted the cam up with the zoom on full. 1 second exposure.

there may have been some monkey business with the iso. 2 photos were taken and the clockface taken from one. i liked the contrast of the original, but it bleached out the clockface. i stole from the 2nd image. plus relevelling done. i'm a tricky one, i know..

i was walking with 'another' two days ago; she pointed to it and mentioned something. i came back to it several hours later on my own to capture it. i had to.

thanks, paul.

I like that the clock's face stands out in it's bright white light against the darkness, and how tall and gracefully slender this is.

Nice shot indeed.

Thanks, mrs. pink. i like its proportions too.

oh yes, update. believe it or not [i have confirmed this from another photo i found of the structure from a different angle] this tower is actually part of a tiny complex that is the firehouse just 1 minute from my home and on college st. adjacent to this tower is where the firetrucks come in and out. seemingly a century or more old. not sure.
