also, being that this image is on flickr as well, could i not have posted without uploading this image to webpix? what would the code look like so that clicking brings up the full size image? gracias!
I'm no expert, but that looks like a tulip, a favorite of mine.
First you need to get the URL of the photo from flickr. They tell you how here:
http://www.flickr.com/help/photos/#68
Then you just create an HTML Image Tag in the text of your post, like this:
<img src="flickr URL here" />
For a real-world example, open my "Morning Mangolia" post, and then choose "View/Source" (Internet Explorer) or "View/Page Source" (Firefox).
Addendum: If you want to open the full-size image from flickr when clicked, surround the <img> tag with <a> and </a> tags. Again, refer to my Morning Magnolia source code.
It looks complicated at first, but it's mostly cut-and-paste. You don't actually need "title" and "alt" attributes in the tags.
It's a Tulip.
The Tulip Bubble of the 1600's that shows how supply and demand do not always work as valid economic controls.
CSB,
Let's mess with it and call it rose.
;)
Thanks a lot, Gary. Everything went well posting to my blog. strangely, the posts disappeared for a while; i republished and they are back. let us hope they stay. It is flickr for now on for me!
Heather clearly spends more time in the garden than i do. i just look, point and think 'fwower!' (sic)
Now, Paul, everyone knows about the Tulip Bubble. WHAT! please tell me this knowledge was recently obtained!
