Normally when my students paint (which we've been doing lots of lately) I'm not exactly thrilled when they leave a mess behind in the art room. However, I happened to have my camera and ended up making good use of their messes, photographing them then, on some occasions, tweaking with the colors.

Interesting shots, Steve... I'm curious as to what age students you teach... You probably deserve some sort of medal for your efforts... (by the way, I don't have any pictures, but I spent 15 years working in a paint factory -- it was an "explosion" of color)
Well thanks good man. During the school year I teach grades one through five. In summers, for three weeks I teach middle and high school kids. Anyhow, a paint factory, huh? I worked in a tool facory for a year, but a paint factory sounds more fun. What do you do currently, besides take awesome photos?
Wow! I love those three pics! The use of text in the first one, the beautiful blue of the second, and the composition of the third! :O)
Cool images. Did you play in Photoshop? Nice way of utilizing someone else's mess!
You made me remember something. When studying in arts, we had to make those clay sculptures of another student... When we had finished, we had to throw all those heads in a big wooden box, so the clay would be used again... It was so strange to see all those heads (ours) in the box.... I did not have my camera that day. I have always regret it! :)
Thanks guys. I just used I-photo, which came with my computer getzapped. It's great but has its limitations, which isn't always bad.
Oh yes merlinprincesse, i do remember times like that in college. Geez, all I had back then was a little 110!
