Thankyou all, my first bought record of Miles Davis (I was 18 years old) Kind of Blue. I feel never blue when I listen to it. This object is dedicated to him. You changed photo aswel Kim, you look nice
This form of art -- glass sandcasting -- is something I had never heard of before, but I love this example and the others you posted a few days ago... Oh, I've made my share of sand-candles out at the beach, and I realize that melting glass requires much higher temperatures, but I am intrigued by the process -- and am sitting here imagining all of the possibilities...
Thankyou, i use copper, copper wires, silver, can even use cold to melt in. It has to be compatible with the fluid glass 1250 o C. photoaday: If you want to see something about the proces. You can click to my other blog; art: www.vrouwinglas.nl See atelier (studio)
zou ik niet doen Henri, jammer van de barbie en het gaat vreselijk stinken. Henri asked what would happen when I put a barbie in the glass. I told him, don't do it H. What a waste for the B. It would give an awfull smel. Strange man that Henri ha ha, don't even put your finger in it.( This looks like a dutch lesson ) Maybe you all speak dutch already. would be more easy for the Dutch

Is there organic matter in the glass? That's a beautiful shade of blue.
