special edition for Kimberly + Clo

Was out at Point Reyes this morning and had to stop and take a photo when I saw this curvy arrow...   But to be truthful -- probably I just wanted to show off my new hybrid...   It's great fun to drive...

Oh I love it, I love it...!!! The arrow and the car! How much is gas per gallon there?? Its about 2.75 a gallon here! On the west coast its like 4.30 which is beyond ridiculous. The hybrid is a SMART SMART choice!

Hi Kimberly,
Yeah, it's a swell car, and has every bell and whistle you could imagine... Step on the gas, which I don't, and it really goes... It's really different -- the engine doesn't run until the car decides you are actually going... It has a compression-braking switch (the old Jake-brake that truckers use), which holds your speed going down fairly steep hills... It has a great energy monitor, which displays a graph of your mileage over the past 30 minutes...
Until now I had been driving a gas guzzling '99 Ford Ranger pickup, but I'm getting between 54 and 55 mpg overall with the Prius... That's between 3 and 4 times better than the pickup...
Well, I'm on the west coast (San Francisco area) and regular is just about 3.389 now...
Cost me about $30k with an extended warranty -- that's kind of pricey, but I just HAD to have one...
You know, the way it handles kind of reminds me of the old VW Bug -- very maneuverable, but bigger, more luxurious, and a heck of a lot safer...
They seem to be REALLY popular out here in this area...
--So, the only other question is: is it a chick magnet? Oh, I haven't found out yet -- but you know me, that's what that highly-responsive gas pedal is for -- to make a fast getaway...
