Hope you enjoyed San Diego, but I'm sure you did... Had to look up what your conference was all about -- GIS seems to be about mapmaking, demographics, and the multitude of aspects thereof... Good luck with your career...

Donald: You are correct, GIS are "Geographic Information Systems". They have applications in most fields of human endeavor.
