I love it. I love the darkness.
I do so wonder, who is she?
Very nice and a good representation of the advice given to Benjamin in 'The Graduate'
"There's a great future in plastics. Think about it. Will you think about it?"
i really like this. :)
That is a really good shot, the lightning is great and the plastic makes it a little surrealistic.
Doing portrait is a very difficult thing, but also a very fascinating one. It's difficult because you don't have an object in front of you, so it is a relation between two persons. It also depends of the way you're emotionnaly involve with the person.
I don't know you. You are a very young man. Maybe you are a little shy, maybe she is too. But even if you are not the best friends yet, you can try to make good portraits of her. Place her and yourself in a comfortable place. Then, just talk with her, while you are doing some adjustment on your camera. The camera have to became a part of what is happening. The person who is being photographed have to forget about the camera, to be more natural, that's why the talking is important.
You don't have to take the face, maybe the hand will just be a fine beginning. Just let the inspiration come. Specially if you find her the most beautiful girl. You have to try to capture what you like of the beauty of that girl. Just imagine yourself in 20 years, trying to remember how beautiful she was. What kind of picture would you do of her?
Have fun! :O)
Nice !!!;-)
And I thought I was the most beautiful girl you ever met!
kidding!
Clo,
you give very good advice. I'm taking it in also. :)
Considering this and your first post here, you definitely have a talent for portraiture.
First off Brock - Beautiful fantasy portrait!!!!!2. Don't regret anything!
Thank you Mama Clo. Yesterday when I was sounding like a bitch I should have referenced the fact that none of the photographers I run from have any personality to me.
They don't put anything out and project their own perspective of me based on their own interpretations . So tecnically their photos are probably correct, especially if the person looking at the pic doesn't know me.
It isn't because I haven't been flattered in their pics but because they don't show the real me or anything else I haven't seen before.
I'll shut up now.
haha! Those photographers run from me now. Clo made my point much better than I did. By the way - they get fantastic shots of other people. They really don't suck.
Hee, hee. I know I sound like a mama Jo! Hey, I am a mama! ;O)
And I know I'm a chatterbox (ask Dib, he's my official virtual-chatterbox), but I love to talk about my experience. And people are getting used to my very long comments...
Jozee, your comment add a very important part of the question. That's what I was thinking when I talk about seeing the person as a human being, not an object.
And Brock, please, don't push it too high, I'm not sooooo wonderful! Hahaha... well, maybe a little... ;O)
So if you want to do really unusual pics with people, you'll have to make them feel comfortable with you, except if you want them to have an uncomfortable look on your pics! But I don't worry about you, you already have talent!
You're cute when you're blushing. :O)
