Autoportrait

My intention was just to try nude pics. In the morning, the lightning is very soft in my bedroom. It makes interresting lights and shadows. I like the presence of my hand too.

Hey! I feel liberated! Now I know the feeling our mother had when they were burning their bra!

Plus, the happiness of sharing a pic I love with my pals!...

I love this Clo. You are beautiful. The shadow, the hand, the perfect breast...I'm jealous! :)

Don't be Heather, my breast is way too far from perfection. Anyway, the breast is something very nice to shoot because of its form, always beautiful in my opinion.

And this is just a pic...

Ok, how about a little documentation.

It's been a long time since I want to do nude pics, but my natural interest is in men's nude. Not easy to find a friend that accept to pose for free.

Some weeks ago, Calvin and me were talking about that, and came to the conclusion that it would be great to pose for each other, if we ever met some day... Then I said to myself, why wait for Calvin, if I accept to pose for him, why not pose for myself?

I already did some nude pics of me, just for fun, but always delated those because I really was not happy with the result. Honestly, I don't see me as beautiful. The perception we have of ourself is very negative.

Then, I took some shot of me in the mirror, so the look I had on myself was more the look I usually have as a photographer. I was kind of an abstraction, just a form in lights and shadows. And I was satisfied. It was on last May 18.

Then there was all those post about nudity we did, and since that, I thought of it almost every day, until today.

I also want to say that this is not a challenge! More a very personnal evolution in my way of thinking. I'm 46 years old. 10 years ago, when my husband was still living, I'd never did something like that, for other reasons that are good reasons too.

And thank you all for your nice comments, I really appreciate! :O)

Clo, listening to what you said, your beauty is inside and out.

Nice breast. Ok, now that I've said that, let's talk about the photograph...

I really like the interplay of dark and light, and the way the curves echo each other. The line of the fingers matches the line of the shadow, which matches the shape of the breast. Very harmonious.

46? You're younger than me, Clo.

Great shot, love the lighting also. I have tried my best to keep my comment strictly professional. :) However the immature raging hormone side of me is waiting to make dirty comments. :) Wooooooo Hoooo!

Clo, that image is luscious.

I was lucky enough to have a life drawing class with a man and a woman for models.

Going back to what we were disscussing earlier regarding nudity and legality.

In art school I had a professer that was so emphatic about his beliefs in art he foamed at the mouth when he lectured.

His belief in the human figure as art form fueled him to find us an artist couple to pose as our models.

Think - Michelangelo and David.

A fantastic and - illegal experience. In his mind not immoral of him to breach the law - because they were a couple - but illegal never the less.

jo: That king of illegality sounds good to me! :O) I guess I'm a little delinquent...
