Marin County Civic Center

The Marin County Civic Center was designed in the '50's by Frank Lloyd Wright.   He called this style of architecture -- "organic"...   It's an absolutely amazing building!

I don't take many vertical shots...

...but these were unavoidable.

I love rust too Josie...
For way too many years I worked for an art supply store that also had a large crafts department, and one of the popular items was a product made by ModernOptions called "Liquid Rust".   First, you had to apply a special Metallic Surfacer to the object (it could be plastic or most anything) let it dry a bit, and then apply a coat of Liquid Rust.   I guess the results looked o.k., but was very expensive at the retail level.   A more popular patination technique was done with something called Patina-Green -- and at $17.95 for a 16oz. bottle it was a real money-maker for manufacturer and our store...
