Keith Olberman - Special Comment
I don't usually post politcally-minded material, but after the president's speech, I thought it was necessary.

remember records?
When I last visited folks in my hometown of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, I made an effort to stop by a place called Jerry's. It's a shop with one of the largest collections of records in the world. Walking through the place is like riding a vinyl time-machine to the past. I grew up on records as a kid (and even the dreaded eight-tracks). About ten years ago I was into collecting them, mainly for the cover art, since lots of the used stuff was pretty cheap. While I love cds and all the new mp3 gagetry, with its size and convenience, I wouldn't mind buying a record player again someday soon. Surprisingly, lots of musicians and bands still release stuff on vinyl and the there has been a report of renewed interest in seven-inch singles with the younger music hipsters. Anyway, just thought I'd share my visit. I felt bad, 'cause there was so much I wanted to buy but ended up leaving with lots of photos instead of tunes.
